It's been awhile since I've written anything here, but that doesn't mean I haven't been playing with sprang. In my next post I'll talk about the new book that will be available for ordering in a month. First I want to talk about the wonderful group that learned sprang this past weekend at the Minnesota Weaver's Guild in Minneapolis. I had great fun teaching these six eager students, and they accomplished so much in our two days together. They each made several small samples, getting used to warping, creating, and finishing their bags. Making the bags was more fun than finishing, so several bags went home with strings hanging out. Each collection below shows the progression of a single student over the weekend. I'm looking forward to teaching a three day sprang class at North House Folk School in Grand Marais, Minnesota in February.
