Leggings

When Carol James showed off her sprang leggings during our weekend sprang class, I was hooked. I wanted to make sprang leggings for my husband so he could wear them to SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) events. Here's my first attempt.

These leggings were made from 5 skeins of sport weight yarn, three a linen/cotton mix, and two variegated linen. To fit his long legs, I needed a 13 foot false circular warp 200 threads across. I used an under 3 interlinking structure to create a thick elastic fabric.
